Thaddeus took his first real steps. Recently he has been standing up and letting go, maybe taking a little step here and there. Last night, Justin and I were sitting on the floor and Thaddeus took about 6 steps from Justin to me. We weren’t really expecting it, so it was really exciting to see him go so far! Justin described it as “surreal”, and it really was. So strange to see that little tiny person who you think of as a baby doing something that a big person does. It made me a little bit sad, that he isn’t the little tiny baby we brought home from the hospital anymore. He’s walking, has teeth, dances to the iPad commercial, points to things, wears jeans and shoes, eats real food…..before you know it he will be turning one!

Photo Montage
Just because I am learning to use Windows Liver Writer, and now can arrange pictures a lot more easily!
Quote of the Day
This quote is from a sermon given by pastor Gary Clark at our church, Eugene Christian Fellowship. We have not been to church since this guy was born!
That’s a whopping 9 months for anyone who is counting. There are 2 services, but they are right in the middle of morning naptime. I am fine with taking him and putting him in the nursery if it is during normal awake time, but I just can’t get myself to skip one of his naps. Eventually, he will move to one nap instead of two, hopefully at a convenient early afternoon time. Here’s to hoping. Luckily we have a tech-savvy church which posts all of their sermons online, and I decided that I would catch up by listening to a sermon while I am on the elliptical rather than watching junk on HGTV. (I’m just joking, it’s not junk, I love you HGTV). And so, while listening to the sermon from WAAAY back in April, I heard this quote, which struck a note in my mind.
“Your system is perfectly designed to get you the results that you are getting”

Sunday Morning French Toast
Thad had his 9 month appointment last week (21 lb 5 oz, 30 inches long) and was given the okay to start eating eggs, so he got to share in the french toast this morning.
